- Sagar Ratna plans for overseas expansion
Sagar Ratna, a New Delhi based restaurant chain plans to venture into the overseas markets in the coming few years through franchising. The company has already identified franchisees in countries such as Bangkok, Singapore, UAE and Canada, confirmed Sadashiv Bhat, Director, Sagar Ratna. The company has plans to set up around 250 outlets in abroad in the coming five years.
The restaurant chain is the owner of Swagath and Sagar Ratna restaurants. Sagar Ratna serves vegetarian cuisine with a speciality in south Indian delicacies while Swagath offers vegetarian/ non-vegetarian cuisines, Indian Mughlai, Mangalorian, Chettinad, Malabari, Chinese, and other south Indian dishes.
Presently, the company supports a single outlet in Singapore, and 59 outlets of Sagar Ratna and nine outlets of Swagath is spread over in different cities of India.
