Sahara India Pariwar unveils the logo of Pune IPL team

Sahara India Pariwar, the prime promoter and patron of sports has unveiled the name and logo of the Pune IPL team in a grand ceremony. It was organised at the SP College ground, Pune. The Pune IPL team will be called ‘Sahara Pune Warriors’. Sahara India Pariwar recently bought the franchise of Pune IPL team.

The unveiling of the logo identity of the team was witnessed by a huge gathering of more than 25,000 enthusiastic crowds. The open-to-all event, organised in association with Maharashtra Cricket Association was the talk-of-the town and a look-for event for all the cricket enthusiasts. The evening was a fusion of cricketing and entertainment excellence, and a mélange of the local cultural heritage and the young and chic tone of the Pune city. The logo was launched in the presence of some of India's biggest names from cricket fraternity and Bollywood. The gala evening included some outstanding performance by local troops and the group of renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar.

The 'Sahara Pune Warriors' logo comprises of a spear wielding, attacking cavalry-warrior (warrior on horse) in the hue of tricolour. The name and logo identity encapsulates the valour, perseverance, endurance, and control of the cavalry trooper, synthesising with speed and agility along with the patriotic fervour which is one of the core elements of Sahara India Pariwar.
