Sarovar Hotels, majority owned by global hospitality firm Louvre Group, is planning to add more than 1,000 rooms across 14 locations in India and Africa.
Currently, the hotel firm is managing 80 operational hotels in 50 destinations in India and overseas.
In India, the company is eyeing new rooms in smaller towns across different locations like Rajamundry, Katra, Dehradun, Dahisar, Jammu, Palolem, Dibrugarh, Morbi, Junagadh, Dalhousie, Bodh Gaya and Jalandhar.
Ajay Bakaya, Managing Director, Sarovar Hotels, said, “We are bullish on the growth prospects of the hospitality industry in the coming years. Tier 2 locations are under-supplied in terms of quality rooms and we are going where there is demand. Our experience in Gorakhpur is encouraging.”
Internationally, Sarovar is looking to expand in Dar Es Salaam and Ethiopia.
“Our expansion projects are on track,” Bakaya stated.
