French energy management company, Schneider Electric, has revamped its Information and
Technology Partner Program to help existing partners extend and differentiate their business by
becoming strategic advisors and experts in the market.
The programme is called mySchneider IT Partner Program and it focuses on unique specializations for partners including IT Solution providers, IT Software and Services Provider, and Data Center Solution providers.
In India, the company has around 4,000 partners, out of which 112 are part of the existing
programme.
Vice President and Country General Manager, India and SAARC, Amit Bhalla during the launch said, “These 112 are small business partners on which we focus to build their skills, in co-approaching customers with developers, co-developing solutions with them.”
Small and Medium Enterprises working with Schneider are IT resellers and stockists who sell laptops and networking equipment, do electrical installations and system integration work, and look to home-in into Uninterrupted Power Supply Device installation as well.
Bhalla also mentioned that the company’s main objective is to train its IT partners in different skill sets instead of how many partners they want to reach. All they want is to have partners who can serve customers in each area. These 112 partners might or might not be enough for serving all the areas and if not the company will add some more partners in future.
In the duration of the past ten years, members of the existing IT channel programme have availed the benefits including tools, offers and discounts from Schneider Electric and its flagship brand APC (formerly American Power Conversion Corporation) that provides clean battery backup power, surge protection, and physical IT infrastructure.
Partners participating in an updated version of the IT partner program will be helped to stay active amid transforming market trends. Resultantly, they will produce approximately eight times higher revenue, the company said in a statement. It will not take more than the next 12-18 months to unveil all the specializations for partners, starting with IT Solution Provider which is currently available. The first specialisation is ideal for IT providers who are experts in IT infrastructure solutions within distributed IT environments, Schneider said.
