Servo Group, owners of Ramada Hotel Dehradun, has opened a hotel school in the city, foraying into hotel education.
The Servo Hospitality School began its academic operations with the first batch of a two-year Diploma program in Hotel Management. Besides the two-year Diploma program in Hotel Management, the institute will provide two-year Culinary program and one-year Bakery program at the campus soon.
Servo Hospitality School has collaborated with OTHM, UK, for the academic programs and certification.
Vishwas Ghai, MD, Servo Hospitality School, said, "The objective is to impart quality education and training to students to equip them for a successful future. We want our kids to be Managers that too without spending lacs and lacs of rupees."
"The affiliation with OTHM would ensure quality education as well as an entitlement for credit points in 14 other universities across the world. Our focus would be in ensuring quality education for students," he added.
Vaskar Sengupta, Principal of Servo Hospitality School, stated, "The GM of the hotel will be taking classes for the students, similarly Front Office manager and other department heads of the hotel. Learning will be totally practical-oriented at the institute."
