Seven 'Park Inn by Radisson' in India soon

India will see seven 'Park Inn by Radisson' hotels coming up by 2017. This mid-scale brand by global hospitality major Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will open in Gurgaon, Bhiwadi, Jammu, Mohali, Phagwara and Amritsar.

Carlson hotel chain presently runs 74 hotels in India and another 43 hotels are in the pipeline under various brands. Explaining the same, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group South Asia Chief Executive Officer Raj Rana says, “We look forward to open seven ‘Park Inn by Radisson’ by end of 2017. We have recently opened one in the capital and currently have five of these hotels in India."

The group is also exploring options to spread the brand in South and other parts of India. For North and Central India, the hospitality major already has a partnership with Bestech Group for Park Inn hotels.

For Park Inn Hotels brand expansion across India, the hotel chain will consider growing organically through partnerships, by conversions and even by selective franchising with experienced owners, states Rana.

In India, the group’s focus remains on its mid-scale segment as demand for it is huge. For the matter of fact, over 60 per cent of its pipeline projects are in the mid-scale segment.

The Group operates global hospitality brands including, Quorvus Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson Red, Park Plaza and Park Inn under Radisson, Country Inns & Suites under Carlson. By 2015, Carlson Rezidor has set a target of 1,500 hotels in operation and under development. Globally, it has over 1,350 hotels in operation and under development in more than 105 countries
