Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira have invested an undisclosed sum in SARVA, a yoga and wellness startup founded by Sarvesh Shashi in 2016.
At present, the company has 91 wellness studios running or under construction. It is looking to reach 100 centres by the end of next month across 31 cities. SARVA has also collaborated with OYO Hotels & Homes for setting-up 500 wellness studios in India by 2022.
Sarvesh Shashi, CEO and Co-Founder, SARVA, said, “SARVA is uniquely placed to drive a cultural change in making yoga-based wellness a part of modern lifestyle. At SARVA, each of our lives by the principle of ‘More life per breath’ and we want to induct more individuals into our community of mindful and holistic wellness, especially the 600 million people in India living under the age group of 35.”

Shahid Kapoor stated, “My personal journey with fitness and wellness began over two decades ago, when I was a fresh-faced teenager. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the benefits of fitness and holistic living first-hand, so when I met Sarvesh, we could instantly connect to his vision for SARVA. Through SARVA, Mira and I want to actively work towards improving the quality of life of people who need an intervention.”
