Wellness India talked to Jasmine Mann, Spa Manager, Kempinski Ambience Hotel to find out the purpose and conceptualization behind the design, interior and other essentials of the spa.
Elaborate on the design layout of the spa. What is the philosophy behind its designing?
Shanaya has been designed in a way so as to transport its customer to a peaceful and blissful destination and leave behind their stressful and busy life. The philosophy being that Shanaya acts as a place of complete rejuvenation of mind, body and soul. Meaning ‘first ray of the sun’, Shanaya has five private treatment rooms offering Asian and Western treatments to its guests.
“The spa at Kempinski Ambience Delhi, Shanaya (meaning ‘first ray of the sun’) is the new destination in East Delhi to rewind stress. Located on Level 4, offers wide range of Asian, European and Ayurvedic therapies that include therapeutic or relaxing body massages, wraps and scrubs, facials along with the Shanaya Signature Rituals, soothing you to the core. With five beautifully designed therapy rooms including a couple suite, our highly trained masseurs will provide the therapy best suited to guest requirement,” informed Mann.

We have artificial dim light all over the Spa Corridor, whereas in suites, there are dim lights with different settings to compliment the various rituals during the treatment. Moreover, locker and wet areas are equipped with the facility of bright white lights.
