Simba Toys which operates in India via master franchisee - Exelixi Management Company, is now aggressively expanding and has put its plans underway to tap tier I and II cities soon. The brand is planning to have five to eight flagship stores in the top cities along with regular stores in all other tier-I and II towns.
Currently, the brand is having 30 stores in India. It has already opened its flagship outlets in Mumbai and Bangalore along with regular stores in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Indore, Udaipur, Bhopal, Raipur, Jamshedpur, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Ahmadabad and Surat. “Exelixi Management Company offers only the ‘investor’ model since we are now moving to company- operated stores that are co-owned by the franchise partner. We are currently working with Simba & Warner Bros, with a couple of major global brands on the way,” shares company’s Co-Founder Prasar Sharma.
Exelixi is a retail franchising and management company. It is set up with the intention of helping international and regional iconic brands’ access into the attractive Indian retail market. It works with partner brands to establish their presence in different parts of India through an extensive retail and distribution network. The retail network is primarily franchisee driven. Exelixi has already rolled out almost 25,000 square feet of retail space in the kids’ retail segment making it one of the largest retail players in this fledgling industry.
Exelixi is now rapidly progressing with its nationwide rollout of ‘The SIMBA Store’ and soon launching ‘WB Kids Store.’
