Singapore-based bakery chain to launch operations in Delhi NCR

Singapore-based bakery chain BreadTalk will be launching in Delhi NCR on October 17. It will be located on the first floor of Select Citywalk.

The signature products of the brand include Flosss bun, Japan Light Cheesecake, Messy buns, Hokkaido Roll, Chilli Pepper Dog, Pumpkin Loaf, Singapore Curry Chicken Bun, Salted Egg Lava Croissant, Tuna Bun and Raisin California Dry Cake.

The bakery chain was founded by George Quek and Katherine Lee.

For BreadTalk, India will be the 18th territory to open its outlet. It has around 900 existing outlets across key markets like Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and the Middle East.

Aik Peng Tan, CEO, BreadTalk Bakery, said, "We are very excited to work with SomDatt Group to open our first BreadTalk outlet in New Delhi."

Abbott, CEO of the bakery chain, said, "When we bring BreadTalk into India, it’s more than just building a brand new bakery. What we are bringing into India is an excitement that will potentially redefine the bakery landscape in India."
