Skincare brand Plum receives funding from Unilever Ventures image
Plum provides a range of personal care products like moisturisers, sunscreen lotions and face masks on online channels including Flipkart and Amazon.

Pureplay Skin Sciences (India) Pvt Ltd, selling Plum brand of skincare products, has raised a Series A round from Unilever Ventures, the private equity arm of consumer giant Unilever.

Shankar Prasad, Co-Founder of Plum, said, "We weren't looking to raise money initially, but we realized that as the business grew, it needed money. Unilever Ventures has come on board as a pure financial investor."

Plum provides a range of personal care products like moisturisers, sunscreen lotions and face masks on online channels including Flipkart and Amazon.

The brand entered into offline distribution last year. Currently, the offline space is contributing 25% of Plum's turnover.
