Kolkata-based home furnishing brand, Skipper Furnishings is all set to strengthen its base in Chennai. Under the new expansion plan, the company has opened its first outlet in Chennai at Mylapore. Presently, Skipper Furnishing has four franchised stores and is planing to expand its wings across India.
Until now the company has a strong presence in the south and eastern India. It further wants to expand to other cities through franchisees, shop-in-shop, and ecommerce model. The company is also launching India's first portal for made-to-measure curtains. Besides this, it plans to tie up with large format furniture stores for a shop-in-shop. Skipper Furnishings plans to open a minimum of 15 stores through a mix of owned and franchise route in the current fiscal.
