Skoda Auto India is aiming to strengthen its presence in India. The Czech carmaker will be expanding its dealer network in the country in order to target digital sales growth.
Zac Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said at a virtual conference, “Our original plan was to have 124 new dealers by the end of this year, but it has become a challenge with COVID-19. We have reduced our target to 100 by this year-end and 130 by the middle of next year.”
While adding new dealers across India, the brand is planning to replace some of the old ones, who do not have the financial resources to expand with it.
“This year we will open new outlets in Bhopal, Mysore, and Guwahati, and new service centres with completely new dealers in Navi Mumbai and other places. This year we will add 27 new outlets,” Hollis further added.
