Somany Ceramics on an expansion spree

Somany Ceramics, an Indian ceramic brand plans to take its store count to nearly 110 outlets pan India by end of 2011. Presently the company has 16 company-owned outlets and 65 franchise outlets in India.

The new outlets will be opened via the franchise model and will be targeting tier-II and tier-III cities. The company is also planning to enter west Asia via franchise route.

The company is planning to expand through local franchise with their two brands Somany Studio and Somany Exclusive. Besides West Asia, the brand also aspires to head towards Nepal, and Bhutan. The area required by franchisees for Somany Exclusive and Somany Studio is 1,400 sq.ft and 800 sq.ft, respectively at prime commercial locations.
