Somany plans for huge expansion nationally as well as internationally via franchising. The ceramic brand plans to open 50 to 60 new stores and is also looking forward to enter into West Asia.
Speaking about the expansion Abhishek Somany, JMD, Somany Ceramics said: “Clearly defined distribution strategy has helped Somany reach its customers and make quality products available to a wide consumer base. Our aggressive export spectrum is quite vast as we export products to Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa. This year we are planning to open approximately 50-60 new showrooms, and are also looking at entering into West Asia. We will have both the retail formats there - Somany Global Exclusive and Somany Studio. With this, we will have our presence in Nepal, Bhutan and West Asia.”
Somany has charted an ambitious plan to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 25 per cent over a period of next three years. It aims to grow by 25-30 per cent in the current fiscal 2011-12. The ceramic brand has recently introduced its latest collection of wall tiles for spring 2012 available at Somany stores pan India.
