Speciality Restaurants plans to launch 30 restaurants across the nation through franchising in 2010.

Speciality Restaurants plans to launch 30 restaurants across the nation through franchising in 2010. It has plans to go for an Initial Public Offer (IPO) to raise funds for taking its count to 100 restaurants over the next two years.

The company supports many brands like Mainland China, Sigree, Haka, Oh! Calcutta, Machan, Flame and Grill. It presently owns 58 restaurants across India, out of which 32 are Mainland China restaurants.

The company is also starting a Speciality Catering Institute in Salt Lake, Kolkata. This school of catering with international collaboration will provide highly specialised training to its staffs as well as impart quality education in the field of hospitality to aspirants from all over India. The international institute is already under construction and land has already been taken up by the company for setting up a catering institute and budget hotel at Durgapur in West Bengal.

The company also plans to take its cuisine to places like London, U.S.A., Dubai, Australia and Europe. The trademarks ‘Mainland China’ and ‘Oh! Calcutta’ have already been registered in these countries.
