SportyBeans, India's multi-sport program for pre-school and primary school children is now seeking franchise partners. SportyBeans trains kids between ages of 2.5 - 8 years. SportyBeans’s well researched sport and fitness activities introduce children to the fundamental concepts and skills behind nine popular ball sports- baseball, soccer, basketball, golf, hockey, cricket, rugby, tennis and volleyball and develop a lifelong passion for sports and exercise.
SportyBeans has its presence in 9 states, 13 cities and has 25 centres. Karan Sareen, Director- Projects, SportyBeans, said: “We are targeting Tier I and Tier II cities for expansion. We will support the franchisee in site selection, center design, training programs, marketing and operational support and ongoing R & D.”
An area of 1200-1500 sq.ft and an investment of Rs 8-10 lakh is required to open a SportyBeans centre. An educational background in kinesiology, early childhood education, recreation management, physical education or personal training is helpful but not required.
SportyBeans began in 2009 with the aim of reinforcing children’s natural love of physical activity and provide them with an understanding of the fundamentals of different sports. The SportyBeans curriculum combines the best developmentally appropriate coaching methods with educationally based methodology, to meet the needs of children and foster an active and healthy lifestyle.
