- Student housing startup Stanza Living aims to have 45K beds by November-end
Stanza Living is targeting to hit 45,000 beds by the end of November. The student housing startup will reach 100,000 beds much before its target of 2021.
Stanza Living was started in July 2017 with 100 beds in Delhi University’s North campus area. It has managed to scale up aggressively in the last two years.
Anindya Dutta, Managing Director and Co-Founder, Stanza Living, said, “We started with 100 beds in 2017, scaled that to 2000 beds in 2018 and are about to hit 45,000 beds by the end of November, spread across 10 cities.”
Recently, the Delhi-based startup also raised an undisclosed Series C round led by Falcon Edge Capital that has brought the total capital investment close to $70 million.
Sandeep Dalmia, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Stanza Living, stated, “The way we think about technology is that it should help us scale and also provide customization to the consumer. We very rarely get a building wrong and that's very important for us to accelerate and drive growth. I think we are comfortable at the pace at which we are growing, and we will reach our target of 1 lakh beds sooner than expected.”
The company’s target is to reimagine hostel living by offering high-quality residences and supporting services like common areas, gaming zones and even gyms.
