Subway, a quick food service restaurant chain is all set open 45 new outlets via franchise route pan India by 2011-12. The brand would be investing Rs 40 crore for this expansion.
The company presently, has 205 outlets in India and plans to take its count to 250 by the end of this fiscal.
Subway entered India 10 years back and is successfully expanding pan India. The new 45 outlets would primarily target the metro cities. However looking at its popularity, these outlets will also expand to cities like Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad.
The expansion process will be aided by the recent appointment of Delhi-based McCann Erickson India, as brand’s new agency of record. Besides this the chain also has a goal to have 530 units by 2015.
