Sunil Gavaskar to bat for Kochi franchise

Sunil Gavaskar, former captain of Indian Cricket team, is the ‘big player’ to help the Kochi Indian Premiere League (IPL) franchise get their act together. Gavaskar is considered the mastermind behind the creation of Rendezvous Sports World Pvt Ltd, which won the Kochi bid.

Gavaskar have agreed to take care after the cricketing operations of the team and get a stake in the franchise. He has confirmed his interest in team Kochi and will back the team once the internal differences are sorted out.
