Switzerland-based watchmaker Swatch Group is looking forward to come up with 30 to 40 shops in India having got permission for the same from country’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Swatch-branded stores will open over the next three years in India where watches currently sell via dealer networks and third-party stores, reported Reuters.
The company is engaged in design, manufacture and sale of watches and owns 18 brands across the price spectrum including luxury brands Omega, Tissot, Rado and Longines. Some of these brands are currently are sold in India through dealers and third-party stores. Brand’s watches are available through a network of authorised retailers and single-brand stores operated by franchisees across the country.
The brand has a wide global presence with its stores in Europe, America, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Pacific. The brand continues to expand its operations across the globe.
