Swiss Military, accessories and lifestyle brand is looking forward to adding 170 outlets in India over next three years. Out of these 160 shall be opened via franchise route and the rest company owned. The expansion shall involve around Rs 200 crore for India operations. All of Swiss Military products are imported and it counts India and China as its massive markets.
The new retail points will be in three formats; namely, small, medium and large and shall vary from 600 to 4,000 square feet in size. The brand is present in India through the shop-in-shop format in multiple stores. Anuj Sawhney, Managing Director, Swiss Military said, "The brand has been growing about 22% on a month-on-month basis. We are positioning our products in the affordable luxury segment. We will bring products that are not available in the market with price points that will appeal to bulk of the customers."
The brand is generating about $300 million revenue with 800 store keeping units (SKU) at the global front. In India, it has increased its Stock Keeping Units (SKU) from 100 to 300. It also retails accessories like wallets, belts, pens, eyewear and even apparels. The company is also looking to source leather from India for its products.
