Tashi an Indian footwear brand and one of the participants at Franchise India 2011, is planning to take up the franchise route to expand its presence in the retail market place. Tata International Ltd, a global trading arm of the Tata Group and India’s leading leather products exporter, launched Tashi last year. A multi-brand footwear and accessories store Tashi, has presence through various company owned outlets across the country. The product mix consists of 80 percent of their own manufactured products while they showcase 20 per cent of other products.
“We are contemplating and will soon come up with franchising for Tashi,” stated Deepak Deshpande, Retail Head, Tata International Ltd.
