Tata Motors has announced a partnership with Tata Power to install 300 fast charging stations for electric vehicles by the end of the FY20, across key five cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

With this move, Tata Motors aims to prepare a decent ecosystem for its potential EV customers in the future. The company intends to roll out four electric cars in the coming quarters.

Both companies opened their first 7 electric car charging stations in Pune, to enable the e-mobility drive in the city. They aim to launch another 45 across the other four cities over the next two months.

These charging stations will be installed at Tata Motors dealerships, Tata Group-owned retail outlets like Chroma stores, Star Bazar outlets, Titan watch showrooms, among other public locations.

Praveer Sinha, MD & CEO, Tata Power, said, “We are committed to making India EV ready in line with the Government’s ambition of providing green technology solutions and Tata Group’s vision of reducing India’s carbon footprint.
