Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, is planning to increase its sales outlets and customer care centres in the coming few years. The company is considering franchise and authorised dealership model, to open these new outlets, the company official confirms.
The company is aiming to add around 600 sales outlets for small LCVs such as ‘Ace’. There are plans to take the sales and service network count to 1,700. Also there are plans to add 200 customer care centres to increase the current number to 1,000 in the next few years. This move will support the company’s growing customer base.
The company feels the need to increase the number of sales and service points along with workshops in the small towns and villages to tap the rising demand. The company is also considering training staff at the existing LCV service stations to upgrade equipments.
