- Terra Charge Boosts Bhopal EV Network with New Airport Charging Hub
Terra Charge, collaborating with the Airports Authority of India (AAI), launched an advanced electric vehicle (EV) charging station at Raja Bhoj International Airport. The facility, which is located in the airport's parking lot, aims to strengthen Bhopal's EV infrastructure and improve accessibility for EV owners in the region.
The 75-square-meter hub can charge up to four electric vehicles at the same time. It includes a cutting-edge 30 kW fast charger as well as a slow charger based on Japanese technology to meet the different charging requirements of both public and commercial fleet vehicles.
At the inauguration, which was attended by Terra Charge executives and AAI officials, Terra Charge's Business Director, Apurba Das Mohapatra, pointed out the importance of this collaboration in creating sustainable infrastructure. He praised senior AAI personnel, including Airport Director Ramjee Awasthi, AGM Commercial K.P.S. Sikarwar, and Manager Commercial Nidhi Shrivastava, for their invaluable support in making the project a reality. Mohapatra expressed confidence that the infrastructure will promote further EV adoption in Bhopal and the neighbouring areas.
The Terra Charge Mobile App makes it simple to locate the charging hub, demonstrating the company's dedication to integrating technology into its operations.
Terra Charge is a rapidly growing player in India's EV charging infrastructure business. With a focus on developing dependable and accessible solutions, the company is rapidly growing its network of charging stations throughout metropolitan and semi-urban areas.
The organisation deals with both public and commercial institutions to establish modern charging stations in critical places such as airports, roads, and city centres. Its facilities often have both fast and slow chargers to meet a variety of user requirements.
Terra Charge prioritises strategic collaborations with government and private organisations as part of its objective to promote India's transition to sustainable mobility. This aligns with the nation's goals of lowering carbon emissions and supporting cleaner transportation choices.
In addition to the Bhopal initiative, Terra Charge is looking into new collaborations to help boost India's EV ecosystem. The company plans to capitalise on the country's expanding EV industry, which is expected to reach USD 23.38 billion by the end of 2024.
Terra Charge continues to push electric car adoption and contribute to a cleaner future for India by combining cutting-edge technology, strong partnerships, and user-centric services.
