Thai Express, an Asian restaurant franchise offering made-to-order Thai food cooked in front of customers, has signed a multi-unit franchise development agreement with Dipin and Neetu Chellani for bringing the chain to North Carolina.
The duo will be launching three Thai Express restaurants in the Charlotte area over the next three years. This new location will bring over 40 new jobs to the area. The first Thai Express restaurants in North Carolina will open by the end of the year.
Founded in 2004 in Canada, Thai Express grew to more than 300 locations, becoming one of the most recognizable food brands in the country. The brand is now expanding throughout the US with the help of franchise owners.
John Wuycheck, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development, Thai Express, said, “With Thai Express’ focus on create-your-own, fresh, Thai menu items, it’s a brand new type of fast-casual restaurant in Charlotte. We are confident in the Chellanis as franchise owners and we’re thrilled to see the brand enter into the new market of Queen City.”
