Food Minor Group, a Thailand based company is planning to introduce its three major brands of ice-cream, pizza and café in India by next year. The company owns an ice-cream brand ‘Swensen’s’, a fast food brand ‘The Pizza Company’ and a coffee chain ‘The Coffee Club’. The company has plans to set-up operations by the mid of 2010 through the franchise route.
As per the officials, they have appointed a master franchisee for the Swensen’s in India. The first restaurant will be opened in Bangalore by the mid of next year. However, the officials have refused to disclose the identity of the master franchisee. The operations of the other two brands, The Pizza Hut and The Coffee House will start by the end of 2010.
The company has plans to add one Swensen’s outlet every month in the country. Food Minor Group is even aiming to increase its numbers to hundreds for all the three chains over a period of 5-6 years.
