The key to improvement of Education in India will be by educating teachers first: Shri Anil Swarup image
Being present at the Indian Education Congress 2017, Shri Anil Swarup spoke about the education sector, its short comings and future course of action.

There is hardly any country that is not attempting to improve its Education system. As can be expected, there is such enormous complexity in the efforts to improve school education systems that each country and society must be understood in itself. To improve Education, improvement is needed inside and outside the classroom.

There are several parts of India that are left untouched when it comes to making any progress in Education. The Government’s dire focus is to unite all parities under the technological shelter and imbibe the basic education with affordable and available technology. There is no substitute to good teacher preparation; unless teachers are well prepared, their capacity to perform is limited.

Being present at the Indian Educational Congress 2017, Shri Anil Swarup, Hon'ble Secretary Department of School Education & Literacy, MHRD, GOI, spoke about imbibing the Technological Education into the remotest areas in the periphery of educational system.

India is one country with diverse cultures, traditions and languages and he quoted, “In the last two months of my journey as the Educational Secretary, I have travelled to 11 different states and have witnessed 11 different versions of India and I wish to capture the remaining states in the next couple of months. I am confident about the fact that I will get to discover a larger India in this expedition”. He brought to light that there should be a policy that can be effectively implemented. He describes his initial journey in the state of Chhattisgarh where he came in terms with the naxal affected districts of Sukma & Bastar. He was baffled with the set of Education prevailing there. The focus now, is to see these untouched places in the periphery of Educational system.

According to him, today, there is availability of technology that is required in the remotest parts of this country and immense efforts should be undertaken to imbibe the entire population under one roof of education. India is under the shadow of judiciary where law is certainly important, but the problem lies in the context of implementing these laws in the right time and place.

Mr. Swarup went on to express his views on the Educators of this system. The key to improvement of Education in India will be by educating the teachers first. There are certain degrees that come with no barrier and they can be easily availed by any individual. This happens to be the ground reality in this industry. There should be use of an appropriate and affordable technology to train this bunch of educators, only then the future generation will be secured. There is so much to be done in the Education sector, adds Anil Swarup in his speech.

Before concluding his speech, he talks of an idea that should be politically acceptable, socially desirable, technologically feasible, financially stable, and only then one can hope of any improvement in this Educational sector. It is an immediate concern to coming in terms with this Ideological fact.

“There will be a start when we stop asking and start doing it", added The Secretary Department of School Education & Literacy, MHRD, GOI.
