The University of Queensland, Australia, is coming to India to provide students with the opportunity of studying abroad.
The representatives of UQ will meet the potential students to showcase the range of courses and activities they are offering, including student exchanges and English language programs
Along with scholarship opportunities, the partnership will enable students from both Australia and India to take full advantage of world-class resources and facilities. It will also help the students to gain exposure to culturally diverse research network and broaden their horizons.
The number of Indian students in Australia has shown tremendous growth in the past year. They make up one of the largest international cohorts at UQ, with Engineering, Business and Commerce among the most popular programs.
The UQ Indian Student Club is one of many thriving student groups which celebrate Indian culture with festivals, movie nights, and the South Asia Cricket Cup.
UQ Chancellor and former Australian High Commissioner to India, Mr Peter Varghese, said, “Pursuing higher education in Australia is clearly an opportunity that Indian students’ value, and we are looking forward to this time in India to build diverse and sustainable partnerships across the Indian Ocean.”
