The wellness industry continues reaching out to diverse business segments. With the new emerging health and wellness trends grabbing people’s interest, investors are coming up with new business ideas promoting a healthy living. Today, real estate is one segment which is under wellness transformation.
Recently, wellness real estate company, Delos made collaboration with Knight Frank India for incorporating wellness technologies and promoting the healthy building trend in the country. The companies are looking to aim at 14 out of 15 most polluted cities in the world.
Promoting Holistic Approach
The wellness real estate opportunity is estimated at $134 billion globally, and is expected to boom in the upcoming few years.
Today’s major real estate players are focusing more on proactively creating designed buildings, supporting the holistic health of the residents by incorporating natural elements like fresh air and lighting.
Shishir Baijal, Managing Director, Knight Frank India, shares, “This initiative will ensure that ‘people’ experience an enabling environment, keeping their physical and mental well-being in focus.”
Promoting Well Building Standard & Job Opportunities
The company will also be promoting Well Building Standard for commercial properties. Well is basically a performance-based system for measuring, monitoring, and certifying features that impact human health on a regular basis.
Paul Scialla, Delos CEO and Founder, shares, “Globally, there are over 5,000 WELL accredited architects, engineers and other stakeholders in the real estate ecosystem. We will see them in India also now,”.
Introducing Sensor Technologies & Preserving The Ecosystem
Whether it’s your personal or professional life, technology is playing its role, enhancing our daily approach. Knight Frank India signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for adopting the Delos technology and product offerings domestically.
India will soon be witnessing Delos Automated Residential Wellness Intelligence Network (DARWIN) platform that is capable of utilizing Delos’ cloud-based algorithms and sensor technologies, enhancing and promoting health and environmental condition.
According to Scialla, “The opportunity in India is massive. Both existing and new buildings can benefit from wellness real estate,”.
