- This Is How Government Is Boosting International Job Opportunities
Formed under National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) has associated with the international body CIDESCO. The Committee International d'Esthtique et de Cosmtologie (CIDESCO), is a Zurich based committee which is considered the World standard for Beauty and Spa Therapy.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed in order to boost overseas employment opportunities for trained professionals in India.
Global Mobility
Due to the MoU, the Indian Beauty and wellness professionals will now get a dual certification, which will be recognised in 60 countries. This initiative will boost the global mobility of the candidates trained in beauty and spa therapy across countries. The MoU will immensely benefit the beauty industry as it will help in knowledge exchange between India and other countries.
Job Opportunities
The Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill council has provided skill training and transformed over 4, 20,244 youth. The key objective of the Council is to bridge the skill gaps and develop a talent pool that is essential to aid the growth of Beauty & Wellness sector in India.
In addition, they made them reach the employment doors by way of organised placements and with support for self-employment opportunities.
By signing the MoU with CIDESCO, B&WSSC has opened doors for international job opportunities for the students. As the students trained in beauty and wellness sector will get global recognition.
Uniformity
The B&WSS Council is aimed to develop national occupational standards & qualification packs for various job-roles in beauty & wellness sector.
This collaboration will help in establishing service delivery parameters. In addition to this, it will also bring about uniformity in training, along with helping in exchange of knowledge between India and other countries.
