Businesses that generate job and business opportunities are believed to be the best business sectors in modern India. The government is constantly collaborating with various firms in order to generate job and business opportunities for advanced and skilled India.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24th December 2018 announced several infrastructures and social sector projects in Odisha for generating job opportunities and living standards. The project is estimated to be of worth around Rs 14,000 crore for which the work has commenced.
Focusing on Social Welfare Projects
The social welfare projects are designed in order to transform the quality of life in Odisha. The Prime Minister through these projects would be focusing on several social welfare projects like higher education, health, natural gas, and roads.
Prime Minister Modi shares, “These projects are designed to improve the quality of life in Odisha. The government is trying to give priority towards the balanced development of the country via focusing on such social welfare sectors.”
Fulfilling the State’s Demand
Every state has its own demands that the government or the private firms target for bettering the situation along with creating business opportunities.
The projects inaugurated included IIT Bhubaneswar, setting up a cost of Rs 1,260 crore that is expected to cater to the state’s long-standing demand. Modi also announced that the work has already commenced for the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research.
Introducing New Health and Wellness Centers
The health and wellness industry is expanding rapidly nationally and internationally. India specifically is becoming a healthcare business hub where new and major wellness players could be seen playing an essential role in transforming the industry.
Modi says, “The government is planning to introduce 1,150 health and wellness centers in Odisha that could improve the missing connectivity in the state. This bridging of the gap would result in improving the trade and business activities for a developed India.”
Paving the Way for Supply of Natural Gas
Modi also laid the foundation stone of the Bokaro-Angul section that is supposed to pave the way for the supply of natural gas for households, industries, and vehicles across 11 districts of in Odisha and Jharkhand.
This Rs 3,400 crore pipeline project is expected to transform the business and living standards in Odisha that is supposed to be completed by December 2020.
The pipeline is expected to give access to cooking fuel to many households and reduce vehicular pollution. It will also cater to the energy demands of steel and aluminum industries, among others.
