Knowledge, education, and innovations are no more restricted to books.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday spoke of the Indian education system's current scenario and also its challenges. The Indian education system is constantly transforming, with organizations focusing on different aspects of education to stand out.

Promoting the trend, PM Modi suggested that the country’s universities and institutions of higher education should apply the same emphasis on innovation as they are doing in imparting knowledge.

Innovation is the key

Educators are considering innovation as the stepping stone towards the next education era. Many organizations are already coming up with innovations like transforming the curriculum, personalized learning concepts, and more, looking to enhance a child’s education pattern.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared, “Innovation is very important because, without it, life seems like a burden. In our ancient universities like Takshila, Nalanda and Vikramashila, innovation was given emphasis along with knowledge.”

The rising demand for character building

The character building trend is certainly catching up, as today’s generation is more curious about learning and inheriting new things, shaping their future. Narendra Modi cited the examples of BR Ambedkar, Swami Vivekanand, and others, stressing on the importance of character-building.

“Knowledge and education are not restricted to books. The purpose of education is to enable balanced growth of a human being from every dimension, which is not possible without innovation,” adds PM.

India to witness a boom in digital literacy & government schemes

The government is constantly coming up with new schemes and campaigns, contributing to the advancement of the Indian education system. The government is also adopting the digitalization process, trying to maintain the pace caused by the globalization.

PM urged students to take responsibility for spreading digital literacy and generating awareness of government schemes that can improve the ease of living.
