Like any other business, the wellness industry has its own challenges.

The wellness industry is one sector which is constantly being re-innovated, providing numerous opportunities to investors. Technology and globalization being important contributors, this industry is expected to expand more, with new investors entering the market.

Like any other business, the wellness industry has its own challenges. Problems in a business can pop up anytime, for which franchisors need to be ever ready. Gathering necessary sources and fixing it is the solution.

One such challenge currently faced by the wellness industry is its workforce. According to a survey, nearly  8 in 10 respondents told us they have experienced burnout at their current job. Yet nearly 70% of the survey sample said that their employer does not do enough to minimize burnout. And more than 20% claim that their company doesn’t do anything.

Mentioned below are 3 ways that franchisors can look beyond programs and benefits:

Setting the tone from the top

Wellness entrepreneurs need to build a strategy to build positive well-being behaviors in the workplace. Employees who are under continuous work pressure needs to have a surrounding, providing them with positive vibes. Organizations should show their employees’ that rest and recovery both are necessary and permissible.

Encourage transparency

Taking a vacation or having a healthy mental day session once a week shouldn’t be something that you need to hide. As a leader, you need to encourage people to talk freely about their rest and recovery needs. At the end of the day, the team will be more productive and effective, contributing to the business.

Introduce micro-breaks

The rest and recovery don’t always have to be about a week long vacation. Encouraging your team to take breaks throughout the day can be one option. Suggest 30 minutes meeting, eating lunch away from the desk, or simply taking a few leisurely walks outside can work in your favor.
