Three Wheels United Inks Agreement With Piaggio; Will Procure 3300 Electric 3-Wheelers image
TWU has also announced a buy back options to the customer that allows them to exchange their traditional vehicle in turn of new EV three Wheeler.

Global EV fintech provider, Three Wheels United, has announced to partner Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Limited (PVPL) to jointly procure 3300 Electric 3Wheelers and deploe them across Delhi NCR Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh in upcoming 18 months. Both the companies signed Memorandum of Understanding for the same.

This partnership is said to help both the individuals and fleet operator to switch from Traditional fuel vehicles to EVs. Three Wheels will be providing them easy and affordable financing solutions for them. Loans covering upto 100 per cent of the cost of the vehicle will be offered to the drivers. Three Wheels United also has its own driver app that claims to provide constant support to drivers such as locations of charging stations, parking options, and vehicle maintenance. TWU has also announced a buy back options to the customer that allows them to exchange their traditional vehicle in turn of new EV three Wheeler. PVPL will ensure best quality maintenance support and swift servicing of the procured vehicle. The company will set up support unit for them.

Mr. Diego Graffi, Chairman & Managing Director of Piaggio Vehicles commented on the partnership saying, “Piaggio  is known for its path-breaking solutions in last-mile connectivity. Our recently launched passenger vehicle Apé E-City FX Max and Apé E-Xtra FX Max have received overwhelming response especially from last-mile delivery partners.” He added that the MoU with Three Wheels United will further strengthen the company’s commitment to building India’s EV infrastructure with competent and reliable partners.

TWU, CEO and Co-founder, Cedrick Tandong, said, “Currently, there are over 13 lakh EVs registered in the country. A lot needs to be done in order to achieve mass adoption of EVs in India. We need an ecosystem approach to remove the barriers to easy adoption. Collaboration among vehicle manufacturers, financiers, and charging infrastructure providers can pave the way for mass adoption of EVs in India.” 

He also added that PVPL and Three Wheels United have a shared vision of promoting the adoption of sustainable e-mobility. He expressed his belief that the partnership will further strengthen commitment to reducing the environmental impact of the transportation sector in India.
