Titan Eye Plus eyes 60 new stores across India

Titan Eye Plus will have 60 new stores, mostly via the franchise route, by the end of this fiscal year. The brand, which is a part of Titan Company Ltd, presently has a network of over 270 stores across India. Titan Eye Plus is also targeting 30 per cent revenue growth in the current fiscal year and will sharpen focus on the sunglasses category this summer.

S Ravi Kant, CEO, Titan Company Ltd Eyewear Division says: “We are targeting 30 per cent revenue growth this fiscal and planning to focus on sunglasses as it is an under-penetrated category and there is a huge scope for growth.

“The sunglasses market in India is estimated to be around Rs 1,000 crore and growing at 15 per cent annually. The company's business in this category grew by 20 per cent last year,” he adds.

In order to push sales from sunglasses, the brand is working on improving merchandise and re-doing the sunglasses section in the Titan Eye Plus stores. Titan Eye is also looking at setting up new manufacturing facility for lenses in north India by 2014 to improve faster delivery of finished products. At present, all of Titan Eye Plus lenses are sourced from its manufacturing plant in Bangalore.
