Titan Industries, a subsidiary of Tata Group, is going to add 150 outlets in various formats by the end of this fiscal year across India. These will be a mix of both company owned and franchised outlets, confirms Govindraj, Vice President - Integrated Retail Services, Titan.
The company is looking at investing Rs 170 crore for the expansion. Out of this expansion, the major portion will be directed in setting up large format Tanishq stores. Besides Tanishq, the company retails watches and eyewear under Titan, Sonata, Xylys, Fastrack, and Titan Eye brands, which will also be part of the expansion. The company is presently operating through 539 stores across the nation.
