After catering to the Indian outbound market for the last 20 years, Travel Masters India Corporation (TMIC) will now foray into the domestic market. Travel Masters India Corporation (TMIC) earlier known, as Travel Masters aims to open at least 10-15 franchise offices in tier I and II cities across India by the end of 2012. The company will set up a separate division in Mumbai for domestic operations which will be launched in January 2012.
Srinivas P, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, TMIC informed, “We are receiving enquires from cities like Surat and Udaipur about the franchise offices as well as from other smaller cities. We intend to open 10-15 franchise offices by end of 2012.”
TMIC has strategic alliance with luxury travel company, Abercrombie & Kent, to offer luxury Leisure tours to its outbound HNI tourists from India. The company has so far promoted Leisure, MICE and Film Tourism in the Indian market with the majority of its business coming from the MICE and Film Tourism segments. So far the company has successfully promoted countries like Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan etc. Srinivas explained, “Today's travellers want to experience new destinations. We initially started selling Uzbekistan and found that there was good potential for Central Asian countries. And taking that thought forward, we gradually started focusing on several other destinations. On an average, around 10-15 per cent of our total clients are those visiting new destinations.”
