Kolkata based footwear brand Touristor plans to invest Rs 5 crore to open 15 shop-in-shops and 12 exclusive outlets. These would be both via franchising as well as company owned. The retail brand has recently unveiled stores in Nagpur, Ranchi, Alipurduar, Agartala and shop-in-shops in Moradabad spread over an average area of 1,200 sq. ft after investing about Rs 60 lakh per store.
Vedvyas Chhabra, MD, Touristor shoes informed that the newly opened stores will add to sales and become profitable for them soon. This success would in-turn mark their presence in the country due to better brand equity. They aim on being a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all shoe needs for men, women and children.
With the first store at Kolkata, more stores are present at Siliguri, Durgapur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Varanasi, Lucknow, Nagpur, and Moradabad. The compnay’s expansion plans include stores at Asansol, Alipurduar, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Bhopal, Amritsar, Jallandhar, Lucknow, Mumbai, Vapi, and Hyderabad.
