Franchise Middle East organised an entrepreneur and franchise summit on June 15, 2011 at Abu Dhabi, UAE in association with Indian Franchise Association (IFA) and Kaizensox Consulting. It was sponsored by British Orchard Nursery and Heritage for Henna.
The event centered on spotting and selecting new and growing business opportunities for entrepreneurial startup and franchise ventures in UAE and the Middle East region. The aim of the show was to create opportunities for interested investors and entrepreneurs, forge alliances and learn about new products, services and trends in the region’s business environment.
The conference addressed the needs of the start-up business investors and entrepreneurs by offering inclusive platform to discuss issues like global and regional business opportunities and franchise ideas for ME entrepreneurs, business planning strategies, market appraisal for ideas, innovation, and other intangibles, insights on growth financing, business ideas for small enterprise, protecting innovative business ideas and avoiding start up stage failure.
As per a study conducted by the Global Entrepreneurship monitor which classified UAE as among innovation-driven economies with a 38 per cent increase in start-up businesses, with SMEs comprising 46 per cent of the economy. Entrepreneurship has been ranked as the most critical component of Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.
