The ed-tech startup, Uppskill has announced raising Rs.1 crore from Bengaluru-based Investment Tech start up, Ok! Acquired and its investors. This is Uppskill's first institutional round of seed funding. With this new round of seed funding, the current valuation of Uppskill now stands at $1 million. Co-founded by entrepreneurs Arbab Usmani and Abhishek Kumar Gupta, Uppskill is a skill-based educational platform that changes the way people learn and develop skills required to acquire jobs or help them directly in their businesses.
One of the thought leaders in the Industry, Arbab and Abhishek were the first to start many things in the industry, such as teaching Influencer marketing, neuromarketing, problem-solving and critical thinking, community building etc. As a step towards revolutionising the digital sphere of education and training in India, the entrepreneur duo's institute became one of the first to begin issuing certificates using block chain technology in July 2019.
This round of funding will further be used to expand to more cities for offline training and customised corporate training for groups and individuals.

Acquired and Uppskill's joint efforts are now working towards their main goal of sustainability and growth in the digital tech sector and growing together in the new, digital India.
