VIDA and Festive Season Sales Propel Hero MotoCorp to Record-Breaking Performance image
Hero's EV brand, VIDA, enjoyed an increase in market share thanks to network growth through Hero Premia and Hero 2.0 outlets. International sales increased 36% YoY, indicating strong global demand for Hero's products.

In November 2024, Hero MotoCorp, a global leader in the motorcycle and scooter industry, announced sales of 459,805. To demonstrate its dedication to innovation, the company is actively expanding its premium and scooter products with new models in the internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) categories. Positive market conditions and increased consumer mood are projected to drive growth in the coming months.

VIDA, Hero MotoCorp's dedicated EV brand, displayed resilience during the holiday season, with consistent retail sales and a rise in market share. Strategic network expansion, facilitated by Hero Premia and Hero 2.0 outlets, was critical in increasing the brand's reach and performance.

In November 2024, the company's global business revenues increased by an impressive 36% year on year. This increase reflects Hero MotoCorp's growing presence in international markets, which is driven by a well-diversified portfolio and competitive product offers.

Hero MotoCorp had its highest-ever retail sales during the 32-day festive period beginning with Navratri, selling over 1.6 million units—a 13% increase over the same period in 2023. VIDA contributed 11,600 units to holiday sales, while the Harley-Davidson X440, which was developed in conjunction with Harley-Davidson, sold over 2,800 units.

At EICMA 2024, Hero MotoCorp showcased a stunning lineup of premium bikes and electric vehicles, including the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250, and VIDA Z electric scooter. These models are designed to appeal to a wide range of consumer tastes, including adventure enthusiasts, urban commuters, and environmentally conscious riders.

Hero MotoCorp launched the Hero For Startups (HFS) programme, which aims to nurture and fund innovative entrepreneurs in India's automotive sector. This effort demonstrates the company's commitment to fostering entrepreneurial innovation and supporting the industry ecosystem.

In November 2024, the company sold 425,856 motorcycles and 33,949 scooters combined. Year-to-date FY25 sales totalled 3,918,733 motorcycles and 275,003 scooters, up from 3,540,305 motorcycles and 294,775 scooters in FY24. Domestic sales in November 2024 totalled 439,777 units, with exports accounting for 20,028. Domestic sales totalled 4,037,846 units in fiscal year 25, with exports totalling 155,890 units.

While sales in November 2024 were somewhat lower than in November 2023 (491,050 units), Hero MotoCorp remains committed to driving growth throughout its portfolio and maintaining a strong position in both home and international markets.
