Vimal, flagship textile brand of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries, is planning to add another 38 outlets by 2011. These outlets will be both company owned as well as franchised.
As per the company spokesperson, “Vimal has over 380 stores across the country, bulk of them being franchisee owned and operated. We plan to grow them by another 10 per cent this financial year”.
The company's manufacturing capacity in consumer fabrics is over 21-million metres per year, of which 50 per cent is exported. At present, the company exports its fabrics to around 50 countries and is looking forward to increase its horizon to other countries of the globe.
