VinFast has achieved a new milestone in the Vietnamese automotive market by delivering over 11,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in October alone, bringing its total 2024 sales to more than 51,000 units. This result cements VinFast's position as the top-selling vehicle brand in Vietnam for the month and year to date, highlighting the company's role as a pioneer in the country's transition to sustainable mobility.
Sales in October increased by 21% over September, with the VF 3 and VF 5 models emerging as best-sellers, shipping nearly 5,000 and over 2,600 units, respectively. This consistent demand demonstrates the quality of VinFast's product selection and positions the brand well for further leadership in Vietnam's burgeoning EV sector.
VinFast's climb to prominence is significant since it has surpassed established overseas competitors in less than five years. Furthermore, VinFast is the first electric car brand to outsell traditional gasoline-powered vehicles in just two years after converting to an all-electric model portfolio.
VinFast owes its success to a mix of consumer support and deliberately expanded infrastructure. With a significant number of pre-orders, increased production capacity, and an increasing network of dealerships and charging stations, the firm is well-positioned to maintain its lead in the Vietnamese market. These efforts not only increase VinFast's market share but also contribute to Vietnam's technological aspirations, with VinFast emerging as a symbol of the country's developing capabilities in the high-tech automobile industry.
