Ginger Hotels, from Roots Corporation - a subsidiary of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), opened its first hotel in Dwarka Nagar, Visakhapatnam. With the launch of its new hotel, Ginger now has 31 hotels in its portfolio.

The properties that are operational in India are either greenfield, brownfield or lease projects. These hotels are across all the four zones, Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western India. To further grow the brand in the Indian market, the brand is also looking at franchise agreements. The Visakhapatnam hotel comprises of 72 smartly furnished rooms designed to make guests’ stay comfortable and convenient. All rooms are furnished with well-appointed amenities such as mini-fridge, satellite television, self-controlled air-conditioner etc.
Ginger Hotels characterise freshness and are modern, modular and scalable, providing guests with a consistent experience. The brand also has plans to expand to pilgrim locations like Tirupathi, Shirdi, Katra, Ajmer etc.
