Vivafit, a women’s fitness centre, is looking for franchisees in north India. It is planning to open its outlets the NCR and cities, including Jaipur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Bhopal, Indore, Dehradun. “We are looking at opening more Vivafit centres in metro cities including Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Chandigarh and also in cities like Jaipur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Indore, Bhopal, Kanpur, Dehradun and Lucknow. Franchising is the fastest way to grow,” says Manisha Ahlawat, MD, Vivafit, India.
The European brand has five outlets at present. The company was founded by Constance Ruiz and Pedro Ruiz from Portugal in 2003. The brand was first brought to India by Rose Red Lifestyles LLP and its pilot centre was launched in Gurgaon.
“We opted for the pilot franchise as this concept of women only fitness was not yet there in India. Opening a pilot franchise prepared us for the expansion later on. We decided on opening our first centre in Gurgaon as it is more cosmopolitan and receptive to new ideas. The pilot centre set the benchmark and helped us fine tune the concept for the rest of India,” she further shares.
On its franchise venture, the MD tells Franchise India, “We are looking for partnerships with other like-minded business entrepreneurs who have accumulated business, management and sales experience. Experience in the franchising or fitness industry is considered a plus. It is an excellent option for upcoming women entrepreneurs with easy to manage systems, small team and low investment requirement in a fast growing industry.”
