VLCC appoints Sayed Safawi as its new MD image
The appointment marks the beginning of a strategy by building on three core businesses - wellness services, personal care products and skill development.

In its recent development, one of India’s renowned wellness services and personal care products maker, VLCC Health Care has appointed Sayed Safawi as its new MD and CEO. Safawi will be replacing company’s current MD Sandeep Ahuja who will be taking his new role in the company.

Safawi moves from telecom firm Viom Networks (now ATC Telecom Infrastructure), which he has been heading since 2012. The company stated in a statement that before Viom Networks, Syed, who studied at Wharton, US, had worked with Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel and Coca-Cola.

Speaking on Safawi appointment, Vandana Luthra said that the appointment marks the beginning of a strategy by building on three core businesses - wellness services, personal care products and skill development. 

VLCC is widely recognized for its weight loss solutions and therapeutic approach to beauty treatments. Currently it is serving consumers across 319 locations in 146 cities and across 11 countries in South Asia, South East Asia, the GCC Region and East Africa. It operates 197 wellness centres in India and 49 in 10 other countries. The company is equipped with over 4,000 professionals, including medical doctors, nutritionists, physiotherapists and cosmetologists, and it claims to have served over five million consumers till now.
