- Wardrobe to set kiosks via franchising
Wardrobe, a dry cleaning chain of retail outlets owned by Delhi-based Diamond Fabcare, plans to expand its footprints pan India. As per company officials, Wardrobe will be launching kiosks in 30 cities in the coming five years. Most of these kiosks will be opened through franchise route. The kiosk will have an area of approximately 50-70 sq. ft.
The company is targeting tier I and II cities of India for the expansion. The brand has tied up with Aditya Birla-promoted More and SRS Retail to open these kiosks. Wardrobe has also tied up with major food and grocery stores as these stores of retail giants are major catchment areas.
Currently, Wardrobe has 57 retail stores and is planning to take its store count to 80 by the end of this financial year. The company also has a technical collaboration with Australian dry-cleaning and laundry major Brown Gouge, that provides the business know-how, besides developing a supply chain system and conducting training programmes.
