- We have been opening 5 stores a month since last 3 years: Jasvinder Arora
With a rich legacy of over 30 years, Siyaram’s Silk Mills Limited has always created world-class fabrics for the fashion forward trendsetters. The brand is now synonymous with high quality, continuous innovation and iconic futuristic designs, which are local at heart and international in appeal. Not just an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, but Siyaram’s is also India’s largest producer of blended high fashion suiting /shirting fabrics, manufacturing over 60 million metres of fabric annually.Siyaram’s integrated distribution network has over 0.1 million retail footprints across the country. We spoke to Jasvinder Arora, Franchise Head and General Manager- Retail for Siyaram’s and learnt about the growth plans of Siyaram’s and also a peep into the kinds of challenges big fabric makers are facing these days.
What opportunities Siyaram’s has for potential investors in terms of franchising?
As a concept of RMG, fabric and exclusive tailoring stores, there is a huge opportunity as there are not many players in this segment. With large customer base and strong brand recognition, there is a huge potential for the franchisees to achieve faster Return On Investment and rapid growth.
What is the mission of your brand?
To be the preferred partner to every stakeholder in the textile and fashion industry by delivering high quality fabrics, implementing design-driven innovation, building trust, creating unsurpassed value and delighting customers time and again. At Siyaram’s, we have chosen six core values which include – passion, integrity, team spirit, humility, value creation and excellence.
What are the expansion plans of Siyaram’s in the next 5 years. How many franchise stores do you currently have and where do you want to take the count to?
We are rapidly expanding and have been opening 5 stores a month on an average since last 3 years. Going forward, we are planning to reach approx 550 stores pan India. Currently, we are having 200 plus operational stores.
According to you, what is the biggest challenge for world class fabric makers these days?
Lack of quality and craftsman tailors is a biggest challenge and there is also a lack of professional tailoring institutes to fill this gap.
So, who is your competition and what steps are you taking to counter it?
In a segment that we are operating in, as such there is no direct competition as every brand has its own TG.
